Around the world, many small business owners and entrepreneurs pay a lot of money to have a nice web site built for them.  However, The sad truth is that the majority of people very quickly become disillusioned. The main reason for this stems from the fact that they are paying expensive monthly fees to keep their web site up, but their web site is getting little or no traffic, and producing zero income.

And they can't figure out why!

It really can be very frustrating trying to do research on the net, trying to figure out what the problem with your site is?  There clearly is a tremendous amount of background noise out there, with thousands of sites offering "The Solution" to or your e-commerce problems.  In fact the majority of them even offer to turn you into an instant millionaire overnight!

If you recognize yourself in the description above, then by now you have also figured out that if you are selling a product, or want to sell a product, than the single most important item is "getting Traffic."  You probably have also recognized that the problem however, is that "getting traffic" involves a whole lot more than just publishing your web site and hoping that a search engine finds it.

The most common problem is that the majority of people think that the web designer who built their web site for them knows anything about e-commerce!

Web designers are simply that, they are creative people who build pretty web pages.  That is how they make their living.  They design web pages, and they charge you a fee.  If they knew anything about e-commerce, and making money on the Web, you wouldn't be agreeing with most of what you have read so far.  Would you?  This is a common misconception, and one I made myself many years ago :>))  As a result, as you continue your research, you must separate in your mind those who build web sites for a living, and the strategies and tactics that you will have to employ to achieve your goals with your web site.

...and if you think you are in a business that cannot make money on the Web you are just dead wrong!

I don't care what kind of business you are in, we have not come across one single business that cannot grow their business, and profit from a web site.  Whether you own a laundry, jewelry store, or sell shop-fittings to stores, whether you are a veterinarian, accountant, doctor, lawyer, dentist, pharmacist, or chiropodist, you can significantly increase your annual revenues with a web site.

He does not matter what kind of business you are in, if you do not have a Web presence you are losing money.  Period!

The truth is that profitable e-commerce is both a science and an art...  and the good news is that the enormous power that the Internet offers truly has the capability to make anyone a lot of money. …in just the last 10 years the Internet has made a lot of people very very very rich!!  Further, good news is that when I say a lot of people, I mean a LOT of people! 

While the Web simply provides the "medium" within which people can achieve their dreams, it was the individuals themselves who took action and build successful Web businesses.

The reality is that the advent of the World Wide Web (Internet) has been possibly the single greatest event in history for business.  It is a fact that the Internet has without a shred of doubt, created the most millionaires, of any event in history of the world!  What is even more impressive about this is that the majority of these new millionaires are ordinary men and women, just like you and me.  Just one company Microsoft, created more than 3000 millionaires, because the company policy was to insure employees loyalty by giving each employee a little bit of the company's stock as part of their pay-package.  In fact, many of the Microsoft employees became multimillionaires, not just millionaires.
